Tell us about your job position and some of your typical work tasks.
I am the Program and Communications Officer for the Foundation. I design and implement new projects and initiatives as well as creating content to enhance the Foundation’s brand. I get to channel my youth by working closely with the Bunnelle Youth Board as their advisor. I am fortunate that my work allows me to work closely with our grantees and the community as well as internally with Team Bunnelle.

How do you give back to the community?
I am actively involved in my sorority- Mu Phi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I work closely with students and aid them in navigating the process to prepare for life after high school. I’m also active in my church’s Sunday School and Music ministries. I volunteer at my alma mater (Waccamaw High School) on the School Improvement Council and spent several years as a mentor. I’m also privileged to be a member of The Village Group Board of Directors. I love working with young people and watching them grow as young leaders.
What’s your favorite thing about Georgetown County?
My favorite thing about Georgetown County is Sandy Island. My paternal grandparents were raised there, and my family has a rich heritage there. It is a beautiful place with amazing views and a rich history.
Best advice you ever received?
I’ve received a lot of great advice that I try to live by daily.

Music and baking are my therapy. I began playing the piano at the age of 2 and it’s a therapeutic escape that I thoroughly enjoy. I find great joy in singing even more.
I’ve always enjoyed cooking and since I’ve ventured into baking, I look forward to trying a new recipe every chance I get.
