Students are placed with local businesses, nonprofits, and agencies that match their area of study, where they take on projects that reflect the skills they are already building through their coursework.

This is not about filing papers or watching from the sidelines. They are not just observing. They are contributing. At the same time, organizations gain fresh ideas, new energy, and a connection to future talent in Georgetown County.

Students are matched with organizations based on their major and interests, where they take on meaningful, project-based work connected to both. Throughout the experience, they work directly with a host organization while participating in a structured academic component that allows them to apply what they are learning to real situations.
