I am the Program & Communications Specialist for the Frances P. Bunnelle Foundation. My work includes managing Foundation communications, supporting grantmaking and community initiatives, coordinating events, and helping tell the stories of the organizations and people working to strengthen Georgetown County. On any given day, I might be updating website content, creating social media and email communications, planning community events, managing grant-related processes, or connecting with nonprofit partners throughout the county.

How do you give back to the community?

Through my work at the Foundation, I have the opportunity to support local nonprofits and community initiatives that improve quality of life in Georgetown County. I also enjoy volunteering my time, supporting local organizations, and helping connect people with resources and opportunities that strengthen our community.

What’s your favorite thing about Georgetown County?

Like many who call Pawleys Island home, I feel the pull of the outdoors. The beauty of the marsh, rivers, and ocean provides a lifestyle that brings out the best in people; wanting to do life with neighbors and to find joy in every day.

Best advice you ever received?

This too shall pass. It might sound cliché, but it’s important to remember that we are never “stuck”. There is always something to look forward to beyond our current circumstances.
