Tell us about your job position and some of your typical work tasks.
As the Bunnelle Technology and Accounting Manager, my role at the Foundation is to keep our finances and technology in order. If it’s a piece of hardware that won’t quite work or a spreadsheet that won’t balance, I am here to troubleshoot. I am also available to assist our nonprofit partners in these uncertain times when it comes to using remote tools to communicate.
Favorite food: My mom’s beef stroganoff.
Favorite drink: A strong ginger ale.
How do you give back to the community?
I enjoy educating local seniors in the use of technology and the internet, as well as volunteering my time completing income taxes for those who need assistance.
What’s your favorite thing about Georgetown County?
There’s a genuine drive to “do good” pretty much everywhere you go in this county.
Best advice you ever received?
“Listen more than you speak.”
Favorite book? No Country for Old Men, by Cormac McCarthy
Tell us something you wish people knew about you:
I wish I would have minored in Philosophy. If you catch me staring off into space, I’m probably lost in thought over some idea or theory I recently heard. I find it extremely interesting to consider what great thinkers of old would think about the work that we do in service of our community.
