The Lowcountry Food Bank is still fully operational. They are in great need of cardboard boxes (size – 12x14x9) to pack food assistance in.
The Child Hunger Programs staff members are currently contacting each school district to determine where the gaps in food service are and how we can partner to fill them. Our immediate goal is to make sure we can get food to students for this weekend.
If you have boxes or know where to get boxes for the Lowcountry Food Bank please contact them directly at: Charleston RFC

In response to the CORONAVIRUS Pandemic, Friendship Place is following all of the guidelines set by the CDC and the government, while still serving the needs of our neighbors. Here are a few changes we have made to our programs:
– We have closed the dining room. We are still serving meals, but they are to-go meals. Our neighbors can pick up a to-go meal during our regular meal hours from 11 am – 12 pm.
– We have been in touch with our regular volunteers and they are aware of the changes.
– Our WORKS personnel are working from home. We are staying in touch with our members. Many of our members are facing very uncertain futures. Possibly looking at reduced hours and business closures. Moral support and encouragement are critical during these uncertain times.
– We have suspended our prayer teams for the next few weeks. All of our prayer team members have been informed and asked to continue to pray for everyone during these times.
