Pawleys Island Child Development strives to reach as many children as possible to help give them a good start in life. We aim to provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment where parents can feel confident leaving their child(ren).
We would love to start an after school program. But finding staff continues to be a problem. We would also like to build our volunteer list. We always need supplies for classroom, diapers, wipes, cleaning supplies and paper products.
To empowering students to become confident, productive, and successful community members by providing an environment that fosters a desire for learning, a spirit of service, and exceptional character.
Most needed food/essential items: Canned protein including tuna and chicken, Diapers and hygiene items, Canned fruits and vegetables, Peanut butter, Whole grain rice, pasta, and oats, low sugar cereal, low sodium soups and stews. Donations can by dropped off at our Food Lion Feeds Regional Food Center, 4716 Northgate Blvd., Myrtle Beach. Please call ahead at (843) 448-0341. The Lowcountry Food Bank is also in need of volunteers to assist with monthly food distributions at Loris Middle School and in Conway. We could use volunteers at our ReStore, especially someone who wants to curate our art section. We can use volunteers for our new building and home repair programs. We can also use donations of household goods for our ReStore. We can come pick items up at no charge. Also, if you are redoing your kitchen, we can come take down the old cabinets if you wish to donate them to the store (a de-construct!).
To align Georgetown County with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) 2030 by promoting productive dialog and collaboration within the county for today’s generation and those to come.
To collaborate with other entities, while preparing and getting children ready for school and school success. It is our job to support the learning efforts and development of every child, with an understanding that each child is unique with different strengths and weaknesses.
