MISSION: Our mission is economic development-creating businesses in Georgetown and Horry counties-and to assist in building prosperous entrepreneurial ventures. These ventures are expected to create high-paying jobs and attract capital investment. They will have a large and positive impact on the economy and quality of life in the community as locally developed enterprises. This mission has expanded to include other programs- including social entrepreneurship and microlending.
MISSION: To engage and empower fathers in the positive support of their children through goal-oriented programs that enable them to find stable employment, practice healthy parenting, and gain hope for the future of their families. “Strong fathers = Strong families”
MISSION: The Alliance for Economic Development promotes, implements, and supports activities designed to improve the economic development of Georgetown County and to maintain a quality business climate for business and industry.
MISSION: American Rivers is the leading organization working to protect and restore the nation’s rivers and streams. Rivers connect us to each other, nature, and future generations. Since 1973, American Rivers has worked to preserve these connections, helping protect and restore more than 150,000 miles of rivers through advocacy efforts, on-the-ground projects, and the annual release of America’s Most Endangered Rivers. Headquartered in Washington, DC, American Rivers has offices across the country and more than 200,000 supporters, members, and volunteers nationwide.

MISSION: Homes of Hope rebuilds communities through development of affordable and energy efficient housing, and rebuilds the lives of men overcoming addictions through job training/mentoring.
MISSION: To engage students and recent college graduates to address community needs, empowering a generation through collaborative efforts to promote change in the communities we serve. Impact America – South Carolina provides an opportunity to make an impact through two distinct initiatives that promote change while cultivating leadership: FocusFirst, a high-tech vision care initiative; and SaveFirst, a high-quality tax preparation initiative for low-income, working families.
MISSION: The Institute for Child Success (ICS) is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit research and policy organization dedicated to the success of all young children.
MISSION: Our priorities are supporting veterans and youth programs. We have sponsored our Boys State participants and academic awards winners for 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. They are all exemplary students and rapidly developing leaders.

MISSION: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
MISSION: To serve as a conduit for the people, working to make positive changes in our community that will improve the quality of life for our residents. We seek to develop and sustain a meaningful partnership with individuals, public agencies, and organizations to promote and achieve youth development, literacy enrichment, recreation enhancements, and community improvements.
MISSION: To study the characteristics and market trends of the region in relation to economic and housing issues in the Waccamaw Region and identify and analyze economic and housing problems, issues, obstacles and opportunities in order to implement strategies that will increase affordable housing and economic opportunities in the region;
MISSION: To improve the well-being of at-risk community teens ages 12 to 18 through technology, educational experiences and tours to maximize exposure and broaden their horizons. One of the goals of the program is to ensure that participants start thinking and visualizing future career possibilities and make definitive plans for a post high school vocation.
MISSION: To bring together established leaders to learn new processes of collaborative leadership with a regional focus.
MISSION: To create a partnership of clients, families, communities and staff to therapeutically assist people with mental disorders.
MISSION: Administers regional programs and fosters inter-governmental cooperation to support the three-county region it serves. That region includes Georgetown, Horry and Williamsburg counties.
